RedBook are an authorised broker for the Registration Plate to VIN look up service hosted by Austroads. This service provides access to the National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System (NEVDIS) which is the database that contains information on all registered vehicles (cars, trucks, motorbikes) in Australia aggregated from the eight state and territory road authorities.
As an authorised NEVDIS Broker, RedBook can provide access via API for any Australian entity to search the NEVDIS database for vehicle identification information and status checks.
Available calls include Plate to VIN, Vehicle Details, Build/Compliance date, Vehicle Age, Registration Status, Power to Weight, Written Off History and Stolen Check.
